Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Concordia College in Minnesota. I am also the director of the pre-law program at Concordia.
Prior to my appointment at Concordia, I was a professor in the Political Science and Public Administration Department at Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) and a Congressional Fellow in the American Political Science Association Congressional Fellowship Program as a staffer in a United States Senate office.
I completed my Ph.D. in Political Science in the Political Science Department at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, an MA in the Political Science Department at the University of Kansas, and a BA in the Political Science and International Relations Department at Carleton College.
My teaching and research interests focus on American government and public policy at the national and state level. This includes policy-making in legislatures and executive branches, separation of powers between branches, policy analysis, campaigns and elections, as well as political methodology broadly.
